A good translation takes a while and cannot be done for free. Something that is cheap might turn out to be paid for too dear in the end.

Time and quality are not the only factors that have an impact on the pricing. Do you need a translation that is 100 % perfect or do you need just a rough translation in order to know what the text is about? Does the translation require a lot of research to do it properly? Is the recipient of the translated text comparable to the recipient of the original text or is it necessary to adapt the translation to a very different kind of audience or medium? But also the quality of the documents delivered might have an influence on the pricing. Documents that are unclear and hard to read will lead to additional work and may even cause mistakes in the translation.

For minor jobs a minimum of 25 € will be charged.

Send me your text and I will give you a non-committal quotation.

Submitting of source texts

E-mail

This is the easiest, fastest, and cheapest way of sending the texts: The text to be translated can either be written directly in the mail, or attached as normal text file or compressed with the standard-ZIP-format. All file formats of the usual office packages are accepted.

In general, urgent translations should be sent by e-mail, since the text can directly be taken from the mail and processed.

Fax

Sending the text by fax is fast, but then the text is not available as a text file. Therefore, more attention and time for processing is needed.

Printed Text

Again, just like when sending the text by fax, there is no text file available, so the same applies here.

Data carrier

As data carriers I accept standard CD-ROMs, DVDs and USB-sticks.

Delivery of target texts

Texts will be delivered by e-mail with the unformatted text as attached file or, on request, printed out and sent by non-electronic mail.

If requested, short texts of only a few pages may be sent by fax.

If the text to be translated has been sent on floppy disks or data sticks, the target texts will be copied on these data carriers which will then be sent back (provided that the capacity of those data carriers is sufficient). More voluminous texts will be delivered on CD-Rom.
